Prayer Meeting

Trinity Church hosts a weekly Prayer Meeting every Tuesday starting at 10 am and finishing at approximately at 12 pm. The high priority given to prayer in the fellowship is seen that each week at least 40 people attend.

During each week’s prayer time we pray for a wide range of issues that affect the individual, healing, prodigals, the Church, Britain and the nation of Israel.

Do come and join us. Tea and coffee are available before and after the prayer time.

Nothing happens without prayer.”

[Keith Jarvis]

“16 Rejoice always; 17 pray without ceasing; 18 in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

[1 Thess 5:16-8/nasb]

“16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”

[Heb 4:16/nasb]

“6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. 7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

[Phil 4:6-7/nasb]

“15 The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous. And His ears are open to their cry.”

[Ps 34:15/nasb]

“28 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
And He brought them out of their distresses.
29 He caused the storm to be still,
So that the waves of the sea were hushed.
30 Then they were glad because they were quiet,
So He guided them to their desired haven.”

[Ps 107:28-30/nasb]

“The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.”

[Jms 5:16b/nasb]

“40 But Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed, and turning to the body, he said, ‘Tabitha, arise.’ And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.”

[Acts 9:40/nasb]

“Prayer lays hold of God’s plan and becomes the link between His will and its accomplishment on earth. Amazing things happen, and we are given the privilege of being the channels of the Holy Spirit’s prayer.”

[Elisabeth Elliot; 1926 –2015]

“Worship and intercession must go together, the one is impossible without the other.”

[Oswald Chambers; 1874 –1917]

“To get nations back on their feet, we must first get down on our knees.”

[Billy Graham; 1918-2018]

“What a Friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!”

[Joseph Scriven; 1819 – 1886]
